Why do we love her? Well, first of all, despite the fact that she's a native Midwesterner, she confirms our theory that the best New Yorkers are the ones who come from somewhere else. Add in the fact that she manages to handle work and motherhood with effortless grace and dignity, while remaining sincere, friendly, honest, and charming. How could we NOT love her?
What is your favorite virtue?
Honesty---especially with oneself.
What are your favorite qualities in a man?
Honesty, Humor, and Humility. Luckily, my husband has all three.

The same as they are in a man!

Being able to be present in the present seems to be when I am most happy.

Cashmere socks! I recently received some 100% cashmere socks as a gift and they have proven to be life altering.
What is your most treasured possession?
Besides my cashmere socks? My husband, my sons, my own vitality. I think one has to fight to stay enthusiastic, but it's a noble quality to pursue.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Everyday people who seek out joy and progress. People who are brave enough to go after their dreams without fear of embarrassment or of the unknown.

Live fast 'cause it won't last.
What's your favorite way to wear cashmere?
Tell is about the cause or charity that is closest to your heart?
I am inspired by our friend Eric Eisner’s YES organization (Young Eisner Scholars). His innovative organization is helping some of the highest performing students in the lowest performing schools. WSJ called him “one of the great innovative—and philanthropic—forces in education today” And I couldn’t agree more. I tend to generally be excited about charities involving education. College Summit is another organization doing cool things that I’ve ben involved with in NYC.
