Bloomingdales is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Beatlemania by bringing together a selection of Britain's most popular fashion houses. The celebration - entitled Brit Style - will see Burberry, Paul Smith, Alexander McQueen and McQ take part in the sartorial tribute to the band, and include exclusive merchandise from Ted Baker, Thomas Pink and Ben Sherman.
In addition, a special interview series called Talk is Chic, will show interviews with designers Sir Paul Smith and Burberry's chief creative officer Christopher Bailey.
It was December 1963 when John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star released their hit record I Wanna Hold Your Hand in America. "This is an ode to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles in the US and part of a wider programme celebrating British style," said a spokesperson for Bloomingdales.
