In many ways, Veronika Varekova is the epitome of the Ivory Row woman. She's smart, cool, interesting, stylish, and sophisticated. She also happens to be absolutely stunning.
Having moved to the United States from the Czech Republic at the age of 19 to pursue a degree at the Parsons School of Design, Veronika was quickly recruited by a model agency. Since then, she immediately became known for her work on runways, Victoria's Secret catalogues, international magazines, two Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers and as the face of several luxury brands.
However, more than anything, Veronika is a devoted conservationist. In 2009, she was named one of the first Goodwill Ambassadors for the African Wildlife Foundation. In that role, she helps the foundation in its mission to conserve large landscapes, protect endangered species, and empower local communities throughout the African continent. When not at home in NYC or working in some exotic locale, she's constantly traveling to Africa for humanitarian purposes.
She's the type of woman who when you meet, you want to sit in a cafe with her for hours, drink coffee, and listen to her stories...

I work very closely with the African Wildlife Foundation. AWF is a conservation organization that has been around for over 50 years. We are working with the African governments on improving policies, to protect the wildlife and wild lands. But mainly working with the local communities, providing them with better education, improving their lives through variety of programs, that lead to local support - fighting against poaching and illegal trafficking of ivory, rhino horns and other animal products.
